Anthony - 2 year old boy

Anthony was taken in as a stray December of 2018 from oakmont. He was initially pretty shy but has turned into a very snuggly and affectionate boy.

he came to us with an upper respiratory infection that has improved but refused to resolve fully. He is still on meds but may have this as a long term issue - likely not a big deal but could occasionally require medication

he also developed moderately inflamed guns and finally had all his premolars and molars extracted (he kept his canines). He’s responded well, eats dry food perfectly normally and, if anything, this could be seen as a bonus - less dental maintenance needed in his future!

Gabriel and Grant - 3 1/2 year old boys

3 - 4 year old tabby brothers. Taken in when very scared 2 month olds. They have made a lot of progress and purr readily and enjoy being picked up and pet - but will still take some time to acclimate to a new home. Grant (solid tabby) is definitely more confident and snuggly than Gabriel). Great with other cats; best to not adopt together as they are more social when paired off with more confident cats

Megan - 3 year old Calico

Megan's foster mother was returning in the middle of the night from a visit to her mother in southern California and met Megan and her brother outside a McDonalds in the middle of nowhere along the 5 Freeway at 2 am.  The boy came up to her but wounldn't be caught, so she reluctantly left them behind but kept worrying about them.  Finally, almost 2 months later - a rescue group in Los Banos was kind enough to go down (1 hr south) and trap them and she met them to pick them up.
Megan's brother was more confident and got adopted already and is doing amazingly well.  Megan is still waiting.  She was pretty scared when she first came to us and has made a lot of progress.  She now really enjoys being pet but still hasn't gained the confidence to seek out attention.  She is great with other cats, gets along well with all of them and snuggles very happily with them.  She is comfortable with the (fairly mellow) resident dog.
She will need some time and patience to help her fully settle in to a life of comfort and care and domesticity but has the potential to make a great companion with the right family.

Alexis - 2 year old calico

Very shy initially but quite affectionate once acclimated

Merlin - 5 yr classic brown tabby boy

Picture
Merlin and his brother came to us as newborns and were bottle-fed.  Her brother was adopted when young;  Merlin has remained unwanted.  He is a somewhat petite boy and moderately shy with strangers.  At home, where he's comfortable, he's social and playful and happy.  He gets along great with other cats and is fairly comfortable with dogs.  He does have chronic rhinitis - an upper respiratory infection when young has left him with a fairly steady low level of sneezing and nasal congestion - it really doesn't seem to bother him though.

Astrid - 6 Yr DSH Tabby and White F

Picture
Very special white cat with tabby patches - came to us as a kitten and somehow just never got adopted. Loves attention and enjoys time with her foster mother in bed at night - but is very shy with strangers and will time to really settle in and feel comfortable in a new home.  Great with other cats and comfortable with the resident dog.
Astrid has gotten quite fat and her ideal home is one where her meals can be carefully measured out so some weight loss can be achieved - unfortunately this just isn't doable in her current foster home.

Shannon - 6 yr Russian Blue-Like F

Picture
Shannon is a sweet but very shy short haired grey girl - about 4 years old now.  She was born as an unwanted stray in a trailer park and was trapped when 7 weeks old.  Hoping to secure her a better future, she was taken in by a foster home and taught to trust and love people.  She did learn to bond, but remained dominated by the resident older cat and thus lived mostly in the bathroom to avoid him.  After 2 years of trying to find a home unsuccessfully, her foster home could no longer keep her, so she moved to a new foster home.

She was terrified initially but after a few months in a small room with several other very cat social cats she settled in and now quietly seeks attention when her foster mother goes in to see her.  She is a sweet girl and wants to be loved, but has very little confidence.  She's looking for a quiet home and an understanding family that can help her grow and blossom - but who won't expect too much from her too fast.  She does great with very cat
social cats, but dominant, more bullying cats terrify her.

Jasper - 7 Yr Classic Tabby M

Picture
5 year old classic tabby boy - waiting for a home since he was a kitten.  Shy and will need an understanding owner to help him settle in but affectionate once settled in and comfortable.  Great with other cats.
