These are some of our special needs kittens and cats. Some have had surgeries and are now a little different but do not need any special on-going care (amputations, enucleations, etc). Some had on-going medical needs and are searching for a special family that is willing to accomodate that. And, some are very very shy with strangers and need a quiet home with a patient and understanding family to help them settle in and acclimate.
Iris - shy 2 year old grey tabby girl
Taken in as skinny scared stray when 5 weeks old. She was overlooked as a kitten and still hoping for a home and family.
She was raised with 4 outgoing bottle fed kittens, but remains shy and tends to stay in the background. She's very friendly when pet but needs encouragement to seek out attention. Great with other cats that are nice to her, but is easily bullied by dominant personalities. She does seem to enjoy cuddling with the dogs, but will take off if the dogs become rambunctious. Needs an understanding family to take her in and help her learn confidence.
